Dr. Charles Stanley is a phenomenal and dedicated pastor of the First Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. He is one of the greatest teachers I have ever encountered. I enjoy his sermons packed with a wealth of priceless information that sinks deep into the hearts of his parishioners. He is sincere, he is committed to teaching the truth and he loves the Lord. His cruises and gatherings are designed to bless believers. This is going to be an awe-inspiring event.

My Soror

Delta Sigma Theta Soror, Jenna, is slowly walking into her destination as she prepares for her senior year in college. We salute Jenna and wish her God's best and blessings for and in her life.

Isaiah

32:1

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

32:2

And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken.

The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.

The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said [to be] bountiful.

For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

The instruments also of the churl [are] evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

This is a song I've fallen in love with; it has touched my spirit in a way that words simply cannot explain. I listen to it three times a day when it comes on television at 9:33 a.m., 3:33 p.m. and then again in the late evening hours at 9:33 p.m.

Mrs. Mosie Burks is the lead singer and with the Mississippi Mass Choir accompanying her with this soul stirring song, together they are amazing. She is a phenomenal lady who puts her heart and soul into this spirit-led, instrument of ten strings and organs song!!!

May God continue to bless Mrs. Burks. I love her!!!

During last week's sermon, Dr. Stanley talked about God's will for his life. It was a very moving story that touched me deeply. When I drove my son to the bus on Wednesday morning, I walked in the house, sat down in the living room and spoke to God. I asked Him to show me His will about something very profound in my life. I asked Him to show me a sign; I asked Him to send a Cardinal to my backyard. Well, when I kneeled down to pray, I didn't pray long because of my inquities; the Holy Spirit then spoke to me and said, go to the window and open the blinds. I got up, walked over to the window and there I saw a Cardinal, bright and beautiful as day. I wrote the poem below because I was amazed at God's awesome power that morning.

He'll move Heaven and earth

To show me His will

Silently I stand

He said, "Peace, be still".

All is quiet as I wait to hear

The plan from the Master

I lend Him my ear.

I'm sending you a sign

From the bright blue sky

Soaring like an eagle

Into your life he'll fly.

A beautiful Cardinal

Flaming like fire

Upon his wings

Your heart's desire.

What an awesome vision

For you to behold

You've witnessed my glory

Gifted Graphic Designer

Cynthia Boyer is a self-taught graphic designer, but she takes no credit for what she does. Self-taught is really just an expression that is used when one did not receive training from a higher institution or perhaps an institution that specializes in whatever field one has chosen as a career. Cyndi had/has help from God's Holy Spirit. It is a real gift that she is using to glorify the Lord thy God.

Cyndi creates and designs her artwork for the Glory of the One she loves, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Prompted, lead and guided by the Love and Light of the Holy Spirit, Cyndi's first love is her relationship with the Lord and her passion is graphic design.

Cyndi designs personalized keepsake treasures, home decor, church bulletins buttons, banners and she also creates unique designs for t-shirts. Cyndi's designs can be used for just about any blank canvas.
