A Scripture on the Table

A Scripture on the Table, Blessings for Your Family

Prayers have been taken out of our schools, but we that doesn't mean that is has to be taken out of our hearts and homes.

I honestly believe that planting God's seeds in the hearts of our children and loved ones through daily scripture reading is one of the most important things that we can do for our families.

God's Word is the Light that guides our every footstep.  It is the foundation on which we stand, secured by His love and His Divine and Eternal Presence in our lives.  Knowing and understanding God's Word is essential to and for the lives of our children.

Scripture on the Table can help us to teach our children just how much God loves and deeply cares for them.  Scripture on the Table can also help us to grow in a right and closer relationship with God and one another that will allow us to create memories they will forever cherish.  It will also teach our children the significance of putting on the armor of God everyday, but more importantly, it will teach our precious pearls to reverence, serve, obey and love the Lord thy God with all their hearts, souls, minds, might and strength.

A Scripture on the Table

Find a scripture that you'd like to share with your family; take a scripture from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament (I love the King James Version).  Write out the Passage of Scripture and be sure to include the chapter and the verse for planting and steeping the word into the hearts, souls and spirits of your loved ones.  Before dinner and immediately after thanking God for the food you're about to receive, read a Scripture from the Old Testament and immediately following dinner read a Scripture from the Old Testament.  Be sure to talk about the Scripture asking your family what the Scripture means and if they're not sure, be prepared to explain in detail exactly what the Scripture means and if and how they can apply it to their lives.
